Business Unit Leader RFID

EM Microelectronic seeks an Executive Business Unit Leader for RFID in Marin, CH. The role entails full P&L ownership, strategic leadership, and team management for the RFID division.

The company is looking for an executive to steer the RFID Business Unit, holding complete accountability for its financial performance, including revenue, margins, and investment choices. This position requires defining the strategic direction to ensure market leadership and profitability while aligning product development with customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire financial scope of the RFID division, covering revenue generation, margin optimization, cost control, and capital allocation.
• Establish and implement the strategic plan for the RFID unit to secure growth, enhance profitability, and maintain a leading market position.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and investment prioritization to maximize returns from innovation and product development efforts.
• Guide the product roadmap and portfolio strategy, ensuring new introductions meet market demands.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with major clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
• Represent the organization in key industry groups, such as the RAIN Alliance, to strengthen its standing in the RFID sector.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales team to drive business development, manage strategic accounts, and expand ecosystem partnerships.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging applications to uncover new business opportunities.
• Lead the RFID organization, including product management and engineering teams, while promoting effective collaboration with Sales, Operations, and other departments.
• Set clear performance metrics (KPIs/OKRs) and foster a results-driven work environment.
• Promote a workplace culture centered on innovation, accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in semiconductor, RFID, connectivity, or related technology sectors.
• Proven track record in business unit management, product management, marketing, or business development.
• Demonstrated ability to drive profitable growth and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
• Strong network within the RFID and broader IoT ecosystem.
• Fluent proficiency in English.
• Willingness to relocate to Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

• Proficiency in French and/or German.
