Employee Compensation Operations Manager

The company seeks a Senior Employee Compensation Operations Manager in Morges, CH, to oversee global payroll operations, ensure SOX compliance, and manage relationships with international payroll vendors.

This senior role focuses on the accurate and compliant delivery of payroll services across multiple countries via external providers. The position serves as the central link between internal HR and Finance teams, employees, and external vendors, while driving process improvements and ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and statutory regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete payroll cycle through international service providers in various countries.
• Serve as the main contact for external payroll vendors to guarantee service quality and SLA compliance.
• Manage payroll schedules, validations, approvals, and resolve any issues that arise.
• Audit payroll outputs for accuracy and regulatory compliance prior to execution.
• Assist with month-end and year-end payroll tasks, including reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Ensure all payroll activities align with company policies, local laws, and SOX requirements.
• Implement and maintain SOX controls for payroll, documenting evidence for internal and external audits.
• Identify control gaps and apply corrective actions to enhance payroll governance.
• Keep payroll documentation, standard operating procedures, and control matrices up to date.
• Partner with HRIS, HR, Finance, and IT to support system enhancements, integrations, and payroll projects.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to boost payroll efficiency, automation, and data quality.
• Coordinate pension fund activities and ensure accurate processing of pension contributions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of payroll experience within an international environment.
• Proven experience managing multiple international payroll service providers.
• Strong knowledge of payroll governance, controls, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with SOX controls related to payroll processes.
• Experience using Workday in a payroll environment.
• Good understanding of pension fund administration and statutory payroll requirements.
• Experience administering payroll-related fringe benefits.
• Experience supporting payroll audits and compliance reviews.
