Landis+Gyr in Cham, Switzerland, seeks a Senior Compensation Expert to manage global reward strategies, oversee base salary and incentive programs, and ensure compliance with Swiss listed company requirements. This on-site role supports the Chief HR Officer.

This position serves as a key advisor to the Chief HR Officer within a global organization. The role focuses on shaping reward strategies and influencing major business decisions to support talent attraction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials for the Remuneration Committee and draft the annual compensation report to meet Swiss listed company standards.
  • Oversee global base salary cycles to guarantee accuracy and adherence to internal governance rules.
  • Design, allocate, pay out, and communicate short-term and long-term incentive plans.
  • Maintain the global job architecture and pay structures by running job evaluation and grading activities.
  • Participate in external market surveys to analyze compensation data and suggest adjustments for salary positioning.
  • Verify that pay practices align with equal pay laws to promote fairness across the workforce.
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations to help the business attract and keep top talent.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Payroll teams to develop effective compensation solutions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a similar discipline.
  • Five to seven years of experience in global compensation, preferably within a Swiss listed company.
  • Deep knowledge of job evaluation methods like Mercer IPE and compensation frameworks.
  • Strong analytical abilities with advanced Excel skills and proficiency in HR systems such as SAP or SuccessFactors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities to advise senior leaders.
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities and resolve complex issues independently.
  • A high degree of integrity, discretion, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with employee benefits or global mobility programs is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a bonus.
