The company seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Product Owner to lead the MCAD ecosystem roadmap, drive digital transformation, and align engineering workflows with business goals.

This position is pivotal for advancing mechanical design environments and methodologies across the organization. The incumbent will define the strategic vision and roadmap for the MCAD ecosystem, ensuring that design processes are coherent, efficient, and directly aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the product vision and roadmap for MCAD capabilities.
  • Manage the product backlog by prioritizing items based on engineering needs and business value.
  • Promote the adoption of MCAD best practices, modeling standards, and configuration management principles.
  • Oversee the transition from legacy applications to target systems, supporting the decommissioning of outdated tools.
  • Partner with mechanical engineering teams and key users to identify pain points and convert them into user stories.
  • Collaborate with IT and downstream departments such as Manufacturing, Quality, and Simulation to ensure data continuity.
  • Guide enhancements, upgrades, and new features for CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, and related tools within the transformation program.
  • Assess new software releases, conduct impact analyses, and coordinate validation testing with key users.
  • Track platform performance and user feedback to implement continuous optimizations.
  • Develop training materials and facilitate workshops to share knowledge across teams.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven background as a Product Owner or Business Analyst within a PLM or MCAD context.
  • Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 and/or V6.
  • Deep familiarity with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical design processes, CAD methodologies, and PLM principles.
  • Ability to operate within agile frameworks and draft clear, structured user stories.
  • Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience configuring or administering 3DX roles and modules, including Part Design, Assembly Design, and Engineering Release.
  • Knowledge of downstream domains like manufacturing engineering, FEA, or systems engineering.
  • Relevant certifications such as CSPO or PSPO, or specific PLM/CATIA training.
  • French language skills are considered an advantage.
