Medical Advisor Neurology

AbbVie seeks a Medical Advisor Neurology in Cham, ZG, CH to lead scientific and medical strategy for its neurology portfolio, focusing on Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders. The role combines scientific expertise with project management and cross-functional collaboration.

This position acts as the primary scientific and medical authority for AbbVie's neurology portfolio, with a specific emphasis on Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders. The role integrates deep scientific knowledge with practical project management, requiring active collaboration across internal teams and meaningful engagement with external partners to drive medical strategy and program execution.

Responsibilities

• Direct the complete lifecycle of patient support programs, managing both internal coordination and external partnerships.
• Maintain external relationships and ensure all program milestones and quality benchmarks are met.
• Align with internal departments such as Legal, Data Security, Finance, Compliance, and Commercial to govern and execute program activities.
• Develop and manage cross-functional project plans to ensure timely delivery, mitigate risks, and maintain clear communication across all workstreams.
• Act as the medical expert within Brand Teams, contributing to strategic planning and key initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues across various functions to identify opportunities and achieve shared objectives.
• Review and approve promotional, educational, and patient-facing materials to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Provide medical training to AbbVie staff to enhance internal knowledge.
• Co-manage national clinical education programs and verify the scientific validity of content.
• Develop and oversee local clinical and scientific programs in alignment with Brand Team and corporate standards.
• Track competitor intelligence and monitor the scientific landscape for Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders.
• Define and execute the medical strategy for the neurology portfolio according to Brand and Medical Plans.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a comparable clinical/scientific background.
• Proven project management experience, preferably in patient programs, clinical education, medical affairs, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience working within a matrix organization.
• Scientific education or background in a relevant therapy area.
• Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), clinical research methods, and pharmaceutical industry standards.
• Knowledge of pharmacovigilance obligations.
