Powerplant and Electrical Technician

Anavia seeks a Mid-level Powerplant and Electrical Technician in Bilten, CH, to maintain and repair aircraft engines and electrical systems on-site.

The company is looking for a technician to ensure the operational readiness of aircraft powerplants and electrical networks. This position focuses on the hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of engine components and associated electrical infrastructure to meet strict aviation standards.

Responsibilities

• Remove, install, and replace engine parts and assemblies according to approved protocols.
• Diagnose and fix issues in engine ancillary equipment such as fuel, ignition, oil, and cooling systems.
• Execute ground runs and operational tests to confirm engine functionality.
• Service engine mounts, cowlings, exhaust units, and air induction systems.
• Monitor engine performance parameters and identify mechanical faults.
• Perform maintenance on fuel system elements including pumps, filters, lines, and tanks.
• Install, inspect, test, and repair electrical systems covering power generation, distribution, batteries, and wiring.
• Utilize circuit testers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and multimeters to evaluate electrical components.
• Assemble and fit electrical parts using hand tools and soldering gear.
• Conduct functional tests on various systems.
• Repair or swap out defective wiring, connectors, and electronic parts.
• Keep precise maintenance logs, work orders, and aircraft records in line with aviation regulations.

Requirements

• Technical diploma in aircraft maintenance, electrical systems, or a related mechanical field.
• 3-5 years of practical experience maintaining aircraft electrical systems, engines, and mechanical components.
• Demonstrated experience working on turbine or piston aircraft engines.
• Background in aircraft electrical troubleshooting and avionics systems.
• Strong oral and written English language skills.
• Must be a Swiss or EU national.

Nice to have

• Avionics training or certification or engine-specific training certifications.
• EASA Part-66 license.
• Familiarity with helicopter systems (rotorcraft, turboshaft engines).
• Experience in aerospace, aviation, or rotorcraft maintenance environments.
• German desirable.
• Working knowledge of relevant aviation regulations.
