Purchasing Specialist

Flyability is hiring a Purchasing Specialist in Paudex, CH, to manage supply chain operations, ensure material availability for manufacturing and repairs, and maintain supplier relationships within a hybrid work model.

This position sits within the Supply Chain department under the Head of Supply Chain. The main goal is to keep production, repair, and delivery operations running smoothly by securing necessary materials, managing inventory planning, and handling purchasing tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Keep production, repair, and spare part stock levels sufficient to support ongoing operations.
• Track inventory data and review replenishment suggestions provided by the Odoo system.
• Identify potential material shortages early and work with internal teams to address them.
• Assist in New Product Introduction processes by procuring new components on schedule.
• Generate, release, and update Purchase Orders within the Odoo platform.
• Oversee the entire order lifecycle from initial creation through to final receipt.
• Partner with vendors to solve delivery problems and ensure consistent supply reliability.
• Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with suppliers on a daily basis.
• Evaluate supplier delivery performance and help resolve any operational discrepancies.
• Participate in supplier qualification processes and manage transitions.
• Apply MRP calculations within the Odoo ERP system to optimize planning.
• Update procurement parameters and purchasing master data to support accurate planning and replenishment.

Requirements

• CFC qualification, a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in purchasing or planning within a manufacturing setting.
• English language proficiency at B2 level.
• Prior experience using an ERP system, with Odoo experience being beneficial.
• Competence in standard office software, including spreadsheets and document tools.
• High attention to detail and a structured, methodical work style.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and stay calm under pressure.
• Flexibility and versatility to adapt quickly to changing needs.
• Team-oriented attitude with a focus on customer service.
• Proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the French language.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo.
