Siemens is seeking a Technical Intern to support software design, testing, and debugging while working alongside experienced engineers in an onsite role in Switzerland.
This internship provides a motivated student or early-career professional with the opportunity to establish a solid foundation in software and technology. The position involves close collaboration with seasoned engineers to gain practical experience in a professional development environment.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the design, creation, testing, and debugging of software modules
- Producing clear, structured, and maintainable code under supervision
- Assisting with the verification, validation, and documentation of new features and bug fixes
- Analyzing system logs, defects, and behavior to determine root causes
- Utilizing development tools, version control systems, and build processes effectively
- Taking part in code reviews and technical team discussions
- Adhering to established software quality, security, and compliance standards
- Cooperating with team members to achieve project milestones and delivery goals
- Working from the office five days per week
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Fundamental knowledge of at least one programming language such as C#, C++, Java, or Python
- Understanding of core software development principles and the development lifecycle
- Experience with Windows or similar development environments
- Strong communication abilities and a collaborative team spirit
