SGS seeks a senior leader to direct its global Oracle Fusion ERP transformation, acting as the central hub for finance, IT, and business stakeholders in Baar, Switzerland.
This executive-level position serves as the head of the ERP Transformation Management Office (TMO) within SGS’s Global Business Services division. Reporting to the Head of GBS, the role is responsible for steering one of the company’s most significant financial overhaul initiatives, ensuring seamless integration between finance functions, technology partners, and regional operations while driving the successful deployment of Oracle Fusion ERP.
Responsibilities
- Direct the global Transformation Management Office to execute the Oracle Fusion implementation roadmap.
- Act as the primary liaison connecting Finance, Global Business Services, IT, regional teams, and external integration partners.
- Align ERP deployment activities with the established Finance Target Operating Model.
- Coordinate resources and workflows among business units, IT departments, and third-party vendors worldwide.
- Maintain strict governance over all program workstreams to ensure compliance and quality.
- Promote global process standardization and the adoption of industry best practices.
- Design scalable Oracle Fusion solutions that limit excessive customization.
- Balance adherence to global standards with local regulatory and legal requirements.
- Define clear process ownership and robust governance frameworks.
- Convene and lead executive steering committees and governance structures.
- Identify, track, and mitigate program risks, dependencies, and escalations.
- Oversee decision-making processes and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Track program health using key performance indicators and executive dashboards.
- Foster alignment and collaboration across cross-functional global teams.
- Prepare organizations and regions for the transition to new systems.
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement, communication, and user adoption strategies.
- Supervise training programs and readiness activities prior to deployment.
- Facilitate the smooth handover from project mode to business-as-usual operations.
- Deliver on the approved business case and achieve defined transformation outcomes.
- Quantify and verify financial and operational benefits resulting from the project.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts and capture lessons learned.
- Ensure long-term value creation and sustainability after go-live.
Requirements
- Over 15 years of leadership experience in finance transformation, ERP projects, or large-scale business change.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, global ERP implementations, preferably with Oracle Fusion.
- Deep expertise in designing and implementing Finance Target Operating Models.
- Prior experience working within Shared Services or Global Business Services environments.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate deployments across multiple countries.
- Strong command of core finance processes, including Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or Information Systems.
Nice to have
- An MBA is considered a valuable asset.
- Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are preferred.
- Certification in Change Management, for example Prosci, is advantageous.
