Vice President Medical - Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Numab Therapeutics seeks a Vice President of Medical Affairs to lead the medical strategy for its Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) program in a remote role based in Horgen, Switzerland.

This position provides senior medical leadership for the ongoing development of Numab’s IBD pipeline, bridging Clinical Development and Medical Affairs. The incumbent acts as a credible scientific ambassador, driving strategic decisions and representing the company within the global IBD community.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine the overall clinical development strategy for the IBD portfolio.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Translational Medicine, Regulatory Affairs, and executive teams to advance development plans.
• Provide strategic input into Phase IIb study design and future development pathways.
• Identify rigorous approaches for trial design, endpoint selection, patient segmentation, biomarker integration, and evidence generation.
• Evaluate emerging clinical and translational data to guide program decisions.
• Contribute to protocol development, amendments, and investigator-facing materials.
• Lead external scientific engagement activities for the IBD program.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and academic experts.
• Represent Numab at scientific congresses, advisory boards, and investigator meetings.
• Contribute to publications, scientific communications, and educational initiatives.

Requirements

• MD or equivalent medical qualification.
• Significant experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical drug development.
• Deep expertise in inflammatory bowel disease with an established reputation and network.
• Experience spanning both Medical Affairs and Clinical Development.
• Strong understanding of inflammatory pathways, disease pathophysiology, and biologic therapies.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical study design and interpretation of clinical data.
